AliSom Communications was established in May of 2009, as the entity to house an already successful business owning a number of Vodacom franchise outlets (Vodacom Shop, Vodacom Repairs, Vodacom 4U and Chatz Connect) in some of the top national and regional shopping malls throughout South Africa.
In addition to the Vodacom franchise outlets, AliSom Communications also houses a Corporate Division based at its Head Office in Centurion.
AliSom Communications owns a number of Vodacom franchise outlets including: Vodacom Shop, Vodacom Repair, Vodacom 4U, Chatz Connect and AliSom Dealer Channel stores. Our stores are located in top national and regional shopping malls in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and North West.
In addition to the Vodacom franchise outlets, AliSom Communications also houses a Business to Business and Corporate Division based at our Head Office in Centurion.
The franchise structure was chosen by Vodacom as the premier route to market, which while being “wholly” owned, enjoys the benefit of entrepreneurs driving the business. Through the sophisticated systems deployed within our shops we are akin to “walk-in” customer care centres, providing specialist assistance to all Vodacom Service Provider subscribers, both pre-paid and post-paid.
The unique blend of extremely capable franchisees and the highly credible, attractive and professional retail operations that are the Vodacom franchises, affords any customer a pleasurable, competent and hassle free experience. The slogan for the Vodashop channel was “The ultimate Cellular experience”, and this is the culture that exists in all AliSom Communications stores, as well as the ethos in the Business to Business and Corporate Divisions.

Vodacom Shop Menlyn was also voted by FASA as the best franchise in the country across all industry sectors in 2003. The group was also awarded the prestigious Vodacom accolade for the best data stores in the country, and the best franchise in the country in 2008, signifying the group’s readiness to move with the times and position itself as a true specialist, offering unparalleled service to customers across all Vodacom product lines and service offerings.
